In Acts 13, we find perhaps the most popular example of church sent missionaries. Barnabas and Saul were sent from the church at Antioch that they had been ministering in to fulfill the work God had called them to do. Bethany and I are members at Gospel Light Baptist Church in Malvern, Arkansas. While Bethany grew up at a like-minded church (also known as Gospel Light Baptist Church) in Spring Hill, Tennessee, she placed her membership with mine at Gospel Light in Malvern shortly after our marriage.
There is little more exciting than being supported by the church family that has taught, served, prayed for, and loved us. We have been called out by God to leave our home church and labor for Him in the United Kingdom. We are privileged to have the support and prayers of our sending church and hope that you would pray for them as well as us!
“And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away. So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed…”
A pastoral recommendation
A Letter From
Bro. Jon.
“I wholeheartedly recommend AJ and his family to your church for prayer and financial support.”
Dear Pastor and Church Family,
It is my privilege to recommend AJ Horton and his family as missionaries to the United Kingdom. I have had the unique opportunity of knowing AJ not only as his pastor, but also as his father. I have watched firsthand as the Lord has worked in his life, developed his burden for people, and led him toward the work God has called him to do.
AJ has grown up around the ministry, but his desire to serve the Lord is his own. I have seen his love for the local church, his commitment to the Word of God, and his desire to see people reached with the Gospel. His burden for the United Kingdom is not simply a desire to go somewhere—it is a desire to reach people, disciple believers, and see strong local churches established for generations to come.
As both his pastor and his father, I could not be more thankful for the direction the Lord has given his life. While sending family across the ocean is not always easy, there is no greater joy than seeing your children follow the will of God.
I wholeheartedly recommend AJ and his family to your church for prayer and financial support. I believe they will represent Christ, their sending church, and the churches that partner with them faithfully.
Thank you for prayerfully considering having a part in their ministry as they take the Gospel to the United Kingdom.

Ministry partnership
Crown Christian Heritage Trust
We are grateful for the opportunity of joining the Crown Christian Heritage Trust to labor together for the sake of the gospel! The Trust is made up of several churches that partner in evangelistic and discipleship endeavors to reach the United Kingdom for Christ. For the beginning of our time there in the United Kingdom, we will serve alongside one of the pastors in Welshpool, Wales.
Please pray that God would send more laborers! The harvest is plenteous and God is opening doors for the gospel all across the United Kingdom.
